you have to find a shaded area somewhere, don't do it in direct sunlight or else you will get swirl marks and waterspots. same for waxing the car. Also don't use dishwashing liquid to wash the car, you'll strip all the wax off and your paint will be unprotected. Auto parts stores sell car wash soap in a bottle you can buy.When is the best day to wash / wax your car during hot Summer?
Early in the morning or after 4pm in the evening. Check the weather, you don't want rain to ruin your wash and wax on the same day, you want to get a few rain-free days with your newly cleaned car!
On a day when its not raining...
On an overcast day would be good.
The best time would be to do it first thing in the AM while it is still cool or wait until the sun starts to go down.
Midnight
Wednesday is the best day to wash / wax your car during hot summer
