What is the best way to wash car wax off of a car?

Use Dawn dishwashing soap for this purpose only: taking off wax. Any other time, wash with car wash soap. Dawn is too harsh.





Don't listen to those who recommend rubbing compound. It will leave your paint dull (it will remove scratches). Use a milder polish since any polish will remove wax and is a great pre-wax treatment and will really add gloss to the paint. Are you talking the whole set in wax coat that has already been applied and removed? If so then just use a soap and water mixture of dawn dish detergent and wipe down the car.





If you're talking missed/left over wax that was never removed after a waxing the car and is white and crusty, just get a micro-fiber cloth and some detailing spray (meguiers or mothers) and wipe it off. DON'T use gas......Be careful using other chemicals....you could end up removing the paint........Good luck.

These commerical car washes will take It off faster than anything I know of, Just wash a few times and it will be gone, But I am wondering why you want to take tit off?, You need good wax job.

It sorta impossible to wash wax of. If you want to get all the wax off a car use wax n grease remover.
