If i wash and wax my car will the raineffect the wax?

would the rain effect the wax at all and leave water spotsIf i wash and wax my car will the raineffect the wax?
It depends on the wax you used. if you dont want it affected then use one that says oon the outside that rain wont bother it. i would suggest using a winter wax because it will hold up longer. If i wash and wax my car will the raineffect the wax?
Appollonia

I too like to do it undercovers just like you... Report Abuse

one of the worst things that i see is people using the wrong type of soap if you use anything other than auto wash it will remove the wax. Wax will last the longest on a smooth clean surface. I am always asked what the best type of wax is . Meguires next generation or eagle one nano wax. make sure your car is clean feel the surface is it gritty you may need to use the clay bar to remove any surface contaminants. rain will effect the life of your wax and water spots are caused by the sun shining on the water droplets and etching the impurity's into the paint use the waxes that i have said and they will last alot longer than any other brand
All coatings are effected by the weather. Some more easily than others. What promise does the company make?
Yes. Don't wax while it's raining. Waste of time, effort and wax. Wait till the forecast says you've got 24 hours of dry weather, or do it under cover.

I always prefer to do it under cover myself...
Depending on the wax, most will leave spots if the car wax hasnt had 24 hrs to set. Try to keep dry for as long as possible, if you can't, chamois it asap
yes it will
