How can i wash off wax from a towel ?

i got a towel like cloth sock for my surfboard and my friend left it in the car during the day and now all the butyfull evenly spread bumps have all melted onto the sock. any profesional sujestions of how may i wash it all off ?How can i wash off wax from a towel ?
soak it in boiling water to melt the wax........then rinse and rub in hot soapy water, the rinse out to check it might take a couple of times but it will get clean.How can i wash off wax from a towel ?
freeze or place cold water ,then scrape it off with a spatula
use a iron...iron it and prepare a small tub of water beside and just as u iron the towel, soak the towel into the tub immediately and then the wax would come off
